With the modernisation of teaching and learning process, there is a need for improving of supporting education/teaching materials that are used in this process. ELearning systems, their specific requirements set new, distinctive challenges the authors of educational materials. The paper discusses the characteristics and aspects of such teaching materials as well as the process of their development and creating in the collaborative environment. They also give examples of the impelementation of collaborative teaching materials in the concrete platform for eLearning.
