FRAMEWORK FOR DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNET-BASED BUSINESS MODELS

Abstract

This paper has been written with aim to ease entrepreneurs, especially in the field of Internet based business to conceptualize and develop business model. It is the result of research in business models of two leading companies from Serbia and similar Internet based business on a global scale. Methods used is case study, enveloped in business model developed by Osterwalder i Pigneur. Our findings confirm that well developed business model positively influences on business success, by pointing to significant similarities of most successful companies on different markets in this Internet based industry branch. Limitation of this study is focus on only three examples – eBay, Limundo and Kupindo, so this hypothesis cannot be confirmed with high scientific reliability. Application of results of this paper is at most in incentive to Internet entrepreneurs to develop business models for their companies, using Osterwalder and Pigneour pattern or other approaches.
