Abstract

The number of traffic participants is rapidly increasing from day to day, without possibility for infrastructure to follow the trend. Safety of all road users is more affected than ever and it is necessary to find new solutions, in order to raise it to higher level. Although there are certain applications offering various help equipments for driving assistance, interaction possibility between individual participants in traffic would imply to traffic safety and intensity. This paper describes collision avoidance systems based on VANET networks, infrastructural communication and GPS navigation, to underline their ability and potentials in social and technological aspects. These solutions targets are automation in driving perception as well as other global demands, in order to make driving easier and traffic safer.
