Abstract

The work will illuminate the theme of electronic commerce in Libya, in order to determine the reasons for the delayed use of modern forms of trade, and proposed suggestions that can accelerate the development of this new concept. The paper will show the state of electronic commerce in Libya and its impact on the Libyan economy, through the identification of the role and size of this form of trade, analysis of improvement opportunities, and discussion of key challenges and constraints associated with the implementation of these technologies and review the major areas of business in Libya, which will benefit from the implementation of electronic commerce. The paper will show the potential impact eletronske trade has on future trends of restructuring the traditional structures. The data indicate that the delay of Libya in this area is large, watching the indicators related to information technology and development of electronic commerce, in comparison with data from developed countries. The paper will show the limitations and challenges to be overcome in order to take advantage of all the positive effects of the implementation of electronic commerce. The work will identify a number of areas and sectors in Libya, which can use modern information technology and electronic commerce for their activation and development.
