Abstract

This paper gives a general overview of basic principles related to digital signatures, digital certificates and phases of digital certificates life cycle. The purpose is to help readers understand the security issues related to obtaining and managingdigital certificates, and to assist both current and new users of PKI on some of the key concepts and responsibilities they face when working with certificates.
