The subject of this paper is organization of GIS implementation into business processes of planning, designing and maintenance of telecommunication infrastructure. It starts with focusing on need to implement GIS technology in Telekom. Slow realization due to manual handling, increased costs as a result of repeating of same operations for many projects, wearing out and loss of paper documentation which has a direct negative impact on records and quality of maintenance of capacities, possibility of performing complex spatial analysis needed for planning and other. GIS technology is introduced as a solution for all mentioned problems.
