Impact of fingerprint acquisition workflow model on quality of biometric samples
Abstract
Biometric technologies are widely used in determining a person's identity these days. The acquisition process is an initial and key process that affects the performance of the biometric system. This paper presents the role of digital assistant in the process of fingerprint acquisition. The program solution implemented for experiment purposes, as well as empirical confirmation by computer guided acquisition process, is displayed. A proposal for a workflow model that affects the quality of the biometric sample, as well as the architecture of the solution, is presented.
