Abstract

IoT is a revolutionary change in the field of the Internet and information technology in general. There are numerous applications of IoT platforms and the contribution they make to each person's life, work and environment. Due highly heterogeneous IoT technologies, standardization is the basis for further development. This paper describes the ISO/IEC reference architecture and the most important features of an IoT system. In conclusion, problems were identified and clarified as the starting points for new research papers.
