Abstract

In recent years, Linked Data principles has contributed significantly towards achieving the vision of the Semantic Web. Linked Open Data represents a huge potential for developing applications from variety of domains by cutting out the barriers imposed by restricted data access and diverse, non-standard data formats. When published, its Lifecycle starts to spin around, in the constant data transformation, in terms of interlinking, fusion with other datasets, classification and enrichment, quality analysis, repairing and evolution, driven by data exploitation through searching, browsing or exploration. In this paper, Floating Car Dataset Lifecycle is presented, over all phases of transformation that makes it compliant with GeoSPARQL standard, lifts it to 3D, and adapts it to different use cases. The enhanced dataset provides major opportunity for simplifying the implementation of complex GIS applications that solve important problems from the area of traffic analysis and traffic management, as demonstrated by developed web application.
