AN APPROACH TO SUPPLY NETWORK BUSINESS MANAGEMENT BASED ON SOA AND WEB PORTALS

Abstract

The explosive growth of the Internet and Intranet technologies in the past decade have dramatically fuelled the automation and integration of business processes, both inside a company and across organizational boundaries. Business Process Management (BPM) in the context of supply network models will only be possible using the methodological approach combined with modern service-oriented architecture. This paper discusses the BPM initiative, its role in supply networks, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and presents basics of BPM methodology. Finally, real-world web portal which provides an interaction and collaboration between supply network partners is presented.
