The field of research of this paper is the field of security in area of information technology. This paper will points out the necessity of a systematic approach, based on expert research, designing the architecture of the information system for creating and improving the process in order to ensure a high information security of level. The subject of the research are preconditions, organizational and technical as well as tools used in the process of managing the vulnerabilities of information systems. It is proposed how to implement the process of vulnerability managemetn both through the use of concrete techniques and through the application of best practice in designing the information system architecture. A special chapter describes the real environment in which parts of the process are demonstrated and the improvement of processes that can be applied within corporate environments and for the purpose of greater risk management efficiency identified through the process of managing vulnerabilities.
