Abstract

ERP systems are attributed to have greatly increased the productivity of business system organisation over the past several decades. The main goal of an ERP system is to integrate all departments and functions of an enterprise into one system that can meet the specific needs of different users and help them make decisions based on the precise data collected in that specific enterprise. Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a set of coordinated and specialized business management systems that enable businesses to make important decisions with more certainty. The focus of this paper is on the research and potential improvements of data models that represent part of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV version 2013 database, which relates to the procurement process. The possibility of using the specified data model for the application of process mining methods was also considered. Process mining would potentially enable improvement and acceleration of business processes, thus enabling a faster and more competitive environment.
