Abstract

The digital age brings a significant change in the perception of competition, due to the monopoly position is rule in the internet world, not the exception. Considered as a process of contest among the participants in the market, the competition promotes economic efficiency. Competitive pressure in digital environments enables more functional and better quality of IT products, with lower costs. One of the main objectives in this paper is to carry out ranking of the leading software solutions that are used in health institutions, according to certain criteria, and determine how the intensification of competitive pressure influence on the improvement of their functionality and quality of health services for the end user. Bearing in mind that, in the modern business environment consumer preferences are very important, the question is whether the best solution, rated by consumers, is optimally at the same time.
