THE POSSIBILITY OF USING SMARTPHONES TO MONITOR SOLDIER HEALTH STATUS

Abstract

Recent technological advances in the development of sensors, wireless networks, mobile computing and cloud computing suggests that there may be’s fundamental changes in the delivery of health services. The development and spread of mobile sensors (wearable sensors) to shift the provision of health services with centralized hospitals and medical centers to the users of these services. Continuous monitoring of the health status of the soldiers via the mobile sensor has the potential to prevent disease - early detection, to help in the rehabilitation of soldiers and to provide adequate treatment to the military personnel. This paper aims to present possible applications of mobile phones and sensors in order to monitor the soldiers health status of the user.
