DEVELOPMENT OF ELEARNING PORTAL ON DOTCMS PLATFORM

Abstract
dotCMS is one of fastest open-source growing platforms in the world, for content management. This Java platform is developed by by the dotCMS corporation, and it has been developing for last 10 years. The newest version of dotCMS platform is 2.1, while the portal of the Metropolitan university was developed in the 1.7a version. In this paper, the implementation of the portal of the Metropolitan university (eLearning portal) on the dotCMS platform is explained. It describes procedures needed to be applied during optimal process of creating pages, creating and modifying and using the page content, etc. Also, the rules for adminstrating of the portal which need to be used are discussed.
