APPLYING SPREADSHEETS FOR ORGANIZATION ANALYSIS OF PUBLIC ENTERPRISES

Abstract

This paper describes the benefits of a spreadsheet usage during the project of organization analysis of public and communal enterprises in Belgrade. This project was implemented by the team from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in the period between the years 2009 and 2012, and included the analysis of human resources, performance and reward system, but also determined the direction for organizational solutions improvement of these companies through the potential centralization of certain tasks. Due to their efficiency and reliability, and given the complexity of the project task, spreadsheets proved to be very powerful tool that provided data processing and analysis, but also left room for further improvement and development in case of additional user requirements.
