Abstract
The paper presents some of the proposed models of game theory to determine the interconnection tariffs. The general formulation, the basic assumptions and elements of game theory are shown. Hotelling model, that served as the basis of many subsequent studies, is described. Application of Stackelberg game for determination the optimal access price and analysis
of demand and retail price is presented. This paper examined the application of game theory for analysis of the interconnection agreements. It has been shown that interconnection improves the performances of Internet Backbone Providers (IBP) in relation to the case when the two providers operate independently.
